National honours for two celebrated psychologists at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Dr. Randi McCabe has been presented with the Canadian Psychological Association Award for Distinguished Contributions to Psychology as a Profession for her leadership and research in the development of assessment and treatment innovations that have had a significant beneficial impact on clinical practice and patient care.
Additionally, for outstanding leadership of St. Joseph’s clinical psychology residency program and for significant contributions to psychological practice, science and training, Dr. Karen Rowa has been named a Fellow of the Canadian Psychological Association.
For years, patients seeking help at St. Joseph’s have benefitted from the tireless commitment of these two individuals in advancing the treatment of anxiety and related disorders. Their work has influenced current models of care at St. Joe’s, and more broadly within the profession.
They are both deserving of having their contributions recognized, and St. Joseph’s Healthcare is fortunate to be able to draw on their expertise.
