The Research Institute of St. Joe’s is committed to conducting research to the highest quality standards in order to produce accurate and reliable results while protecting the rights, wellbeing, and safety of all of study participants. To accomplish this, we have a comprehensive quality assurance program, which provides researchers with the resources needed to perform their studies to the highest standards.

Some of the services offered to affiliates of The Research Institute include:

  • Study monitoring services for investigator-initiated studies
  • Creation of study monitoring plans
  • Review of study documentation (e.g., protocols, informed consent forms, ethics applications) to ensure quality measures are built-in to the study before it starts
  • Conduct root cause analysis and create corrective and preventive action plans
  • Review and assistance with regulatory documentation

In addition to providing services to researchers and their teams on a study-by-study basis, RSJH’s quality assurance program provides ongoing institutional level quality oversight, which includes:

  • A comprehensive education and training framework to provide our researchers and staff with the knowledge required to effectively conduct research studies
  • A comprehensive set of standardized research Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), available on MyStJoes intranet
  • Auditing services
