Details on affiliation and the affiliation process.
Since 2014, The Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton has been a separately incorporated legal entity responsible for the oversight and conduct of all research performed at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. This includes the administration of all financial accounts, contracts, training, and other areas of research.
Any researcher acting as a Principal Investigator (PI) or Local Principal Investigator (LPI) on a study conducted at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, or any member organization of St. Joseph's Health System, must be affiliated with The Research Institute.
Categories
There are 3 affiliation categories: Affiliate, Endorsed Affiliate, and Associate. See the Affiliation Privileges by Category PDF for a breakdown of the privileges available for each category. Categories are based on factors such as faculty status with McMaster and the primary location of research for the affiliate.
Becoming an Affiliate
Obtaining affiliation is a simple process. Please complete the online New Affiliate Application Form by following the link below.
