

Awards & Grants
The Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton understands the importance of investing in the future of research by providing funding opportunities for research personnel working at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
Provisions on each award are governed by the 015-RSJ-H Award Program and the 002-RSJ-H Researcher Affiliation with Research St. Joseph’s – Hamilton policies as well as the individual award Guidelines. Interested applicants should review these documents in detail prior to committing to submit an application. Applications are reviewed by the Award Review Committee struck by the Scientific Director of the Research Institute, who also has final decision of the awarding of applicants.

Academic Award Timelines:
January 4: Official launch of the competition
January 31: Letter of Intent submission deadline (for Studentship & Post-doctoral fellowship awards only)
March 1: Invitation for Full Application submission (for Studentship & Post-doctoral fellowship awards only)
March 31: Applications for all academic awards due by 11:59pm on March 31, 2021
July: Award recipients announced
September: Funding awarded
October 7: Celebrate Research virtual event & awards ceremony
