Dori Cartwright, Executive Director of the Research Institute of St. Joe’s Hamilton, has received a 2016 Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton Mission Legacy Award.

The Mission Legacy Award recognizes key individuals who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to contribute to the legacy and mission of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Hamilton, St. Joseph's Health System, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton or its Foundation.

Over the length of her career, Dori has successfully developed and improved upon an environment that encourages and supports world-class research. Her dedication to the research mission of our hospital is exemplified through a number of administrative initiatives she has promoted that have improved the management and administration of research at St. Joe’s.

Creating the environment in which research can be carried on at the highest level helped St. Joseph’s achieve national recognition for the excellence of its basic and clinical research and enhances our international reputation for the practice of state-of-the-art medicine. Establishing the Research Institute at St Joe’s also allows Research Administration to better measure and support research activities at St. Joe’s.

We congratulate Dori on receiving this distinguished award, and we thank her for her invaluable contributions to our organization.
