This morning, St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton ranked as #19 among Canada’s Top 40 Research Hospitals, an annual survey conducted by Research Infosource Inc.

While our institution has consistently ranked among Canada’s Top 40 Research Hospitals, this year marks the first time that St. Joe’s has been featured in the top 20 – moving up two spots from last year’s ranking as #21.

“Over the last few years, we’ve seen the research enterprise at St. Joe’s grow not only in funding, but also in the quality and impact,” states Dori Kazimer, Director of Research Administration. “We’re also very fortunate to have close partnerships with McMaster University and Hamilton Health Sciences – helping to foster research collaborations across Hamilton and around the world.”

Ontario hospitals as a whole have been represented well in the survey, making up 20 of the Canada’s Top 40 Research Hospitals.  View the survey findings here.
