- Powder to Blood: Reconstitute and Deliver (Julianne Camera, Nurse Educator, CTU 4BD & NRT): Step into the lab as you learn to reconstitute powdered blood derivatives and prepare them safely for patient administration. This hands-on station will guide you through each step — from identifying the right product reconstitution instructions, to mixing, labeling, and administering it correctly.
- Don’t Let the Bed Bugs Bite: Policy in Practice (Susan Ritchie, Nurse Educator, 4MG & ALC): This skills station provides participants with information on how to implement the 001-EVS Procedure for Bed Bugs/Insects.

Despite its enormous promise, concerns about safe and ethical AI use in medicine remain at the fore of scholarly discussions. This lecture explores how clinicians and medical educators could attain adaptive practice in the use of AI.

Join members of the Ethics Team for the launch of St. Joe’s revised 5-step YODAL ethical reflection tool (You feel the “Yuck factor”, Observe, Discuss, Act, Learn).
- Practice “YODALing with your team” to work through an ethically challenging situation.
- Learn when and how to use YODAL to frame a concern, reflect on values, navigate disagreement, unpack moral distress, and get unstuck through identification of next steps.
- Reflect on how to create an open and psychologically safe space that empowers teammates to raise ethical questions and dilemmas for discussion.
